Milk Education is partnering with a supportive and forward‑thinking secondary school in Liverpool to recruit a dedicated PSHE Teaching Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young people’s wellbeing, personal development, and social education.
About the Role
As a PSHE Teaching Assistant, you will support the delivery of Personal, Social, Health and Economic education lessons, helping students develop essential life skills, emotional resilience, and confidence. You will work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to ensure pupils feel supported both academically and personally.
Responsibilities
1. Support the delivery of PSHE lessons across KS3–KS4
2. Provide 1:1 and small‑group support on topics such as mental health, relationships, online safety, and citizenship
3. Assist with planning and adapting learning materials
4. Promote positive behaviour, wellbeing, and engagement
5. Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams
6. Help create a safe, open, and supportive environment for all students
Essential Requirements
7. Experience working in UK secondary schools is essential
8. Experience supporting young people with personal development or pastoral needs
9. Strong communication skills and emotional intelligence
10. Ability to build positive and trusting relationships
11. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply through Milk Education)
