We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant with an ASD specialism to support a KS2 pupil at a welcoming school located near Hoo, Rochester, Kent.
This is a rewarding role for someone who is passionate about supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and helping them thrive both academically and emotionally.
Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 support for a KS2 pupil with ASD
* Support learning, communication, and emotional regulation
* Implement strategies in line with EHCP targets
* Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO
* Create a safe, nurturing, and structured learning environment
Essential Requirements
* Experience supporting children with ASD (school-based preferred)
* Understanding of KS2 curriculum and SEN strategies
* Patient, reliable, and adaptable approach
* Must have own transport due to the school's location and limited public transport access
Desirable
* SEN or TA qualification
* Experience with visual supports, routines, or behaviour strategies
