Conveyancing Team Leader
Location: Manchester (Hybrid Working)

Salary: Up to £50,000

We are seeking an experienced Conveyancing Team Leader to lead and develop a high-performing residential conveyancing team of up to 15 fee earners and support staff. This is a management-focused role with no personal caseload, allowing you to concentrate on people leadership, performance, and service delivery.
While you will not carry your own files, previous conveyancing fee-earning experience is essential, as you will be required to provide technical guidance, support complex matters, and act as an escalation point for the team.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, manage, and motivate a conveyancing team of up to 15, ensuring high levels of productivity, quality, and client care
* Provide day-to-day supervision, mentoring, coaching, and performance management
* Act as a technical expert and escalation point for complex conveyancing files and legal issues
* Monitor workloads, capacity, and KPIs to ensure efficient file progression and service standards
* Support compliance with regulatory requirements, firm procedures, and risk management protocols
* Conduct regular one-to-ones, appraisals, and development reviews
* Assist with onboarding, training, and development of new and existing team members
* Work closely with senior management to drive continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and team engagement
* Maintain and promote the firm’s reputation for excellence and client service
Requirements
* Proven previous experience as a conveyancing fee earner
* Demonstrable experience leading, supervising, or mentoring conveyancing teams
* Strong technical knowledge with the ability to advise on complex conveyancing matters
* Excellent people management, communication, and leadership skills
* Commercially aware with the ability to manage performance and service delivery
* Highly organised, resilient, and confident making decisions
* Experience working within a high-volume or fast-paced conveyancing environment is desirable
