Role Summary
Ward 106/107 is a 33 bedded fast paced ward specialising in Urology and Gynaecology. The post holder will support the registered nurse by caring for patients pre and post operatively with various urological and Gynaecological conditions.
Responsibilities
* Assist with personal care
* Assist with toileting needs
* Assist with mealtimes and feeding
* Perform observations and use Vital Pac
* Record ECGs
* Conduct bladder scanning
* Monitor blood glucose
* Perform venepuncture
* Empty catheters and record fluid input and output
* Screen for MRSA
* Clean the ward
* Record and document care
* Escort patients
* Support delegated tasks within the scope of practice
Qualifications
* GCSE Maths and English at grade C/4 or Level 2 Functional Skills
* Full Care Certificate or NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (NVQ only from a regulated awarding body)
