The values that underpin our company culture are the drivers of our ongoing success: Agile Solution focused Respect for all people Integrity in the way we operate Description Tasks and Responsibilities The Cisco Product and Program Management role is aligned with the Cisco Group Business Unit goals. In this critical role, the manager will develop programs focusing on transforming the Cisco business in new areas of business and opportunity. The role will develop programs that touch all Cisco product architectures. In addition, the Product Manager is responsible for working with internal Sales, Architects, Presales, and Marketing to design a robust go-to-market plan for your assigned portfolio. Stock Management Active management of Cisco stock in all warehouses weekly, and achieves WOI targets as set out by Cisco Group. Review inventory requirements every week and place orders accordingly. Ensure inventory is at its optimal mix and that stock does not exceed 60 days. Builds a proactive plan with the operations team and vendor to optimise the sell-through of high-risk inventory. Creates competitive programs around stock positioning. Pricing Management Responsible for conducting weekly competitive pricing analysis and reviewing pricing accordingly. Updating pricing and systems within 24 hours of any changes instigated by the vendor and/or Dicker Data (fx related). Responsible for communicating any significant price changes to internal teams and externally. Ensure all pricing is updated correctly within Dicker Data’s internal system and tools. Actively manages the Cisco Group’s inclusion in Dicker Data’s master weekly price book. Has a good understanding of various vendor-led pricing schemes and works directly with the vendor to resolve discrepancies. Negotiates special pricing requests for Dicker Data Marketing Utilising vendor marketing funds and working with marketing and sales to design and execute a cohesive quarterly plan which includes volume, value, partner acquisition, partner retention, Cisco Group Annuity, Meraki, Pure, Refresh and focus architecture activities. Measures marketing effectiveness and ROI every quarter. Responsible for maximising Cisco Group’s awareness of Dicker Data’s marketing mediums and the Cisco Group Microsite weekly. Update all promotions and events in the Promotions Database Works with the vendor to ensure Dicker Data is positioned well to receive preference in new promotions and offers Prepare quarterly marketing plans by architecture and business model, ensuring all Dicker Data and vendor objectives are met. Vendor Relationship Conduct quarterly vendor reviews with relevant Dicker Data and vendor personnel. Make sure that a good vendor relationship is maintained by meeting mutual objectives. Maintain vendor contact and company information in CRM. Ensure contract with vendor is current, scanned and the original sent to legal. Update vendor summary accordingly Understand the terms and conditions of the contractual agreement. If necessary, negotiate terms to fit in with Dicker Data’s guidelines – refer to Dicker Data Preferred Contract Summary. Works with Operations to communicate all contract terms to each department. Establish processes and procedures to meet contract obligations Product Proactively stay updated and abreast of new products, solutions, and developments related to your assigned product portfolio. Maintain all product information in Pronto and the Dicker Website, library, and promotions database. Ensure data is current and accurate. Ensure Cisco Group products appear in the most straightforward format for partners & internal staff. Facilitate and/or deliver a quarterly training program nationally for Cisco’s internal and external sales team. Works with the vendor to uncover new opportunities and helps to ensure they are brought to market. Sales Focus Act as a sales resource for general enquiries relating to Cisco Group solutions. Provide sales with sales data insights relating to products and partners Ensure sales teams receive updates related to NPI, promotions, and available products in Dicker resources. Communication Engage Dicker Data staff at appropriate levels to communicate with the vendor. Work with Dicker Data management to identify and optimise opportunities and prevent or resolve product-related issues. Communicate vendor promotions, initiatives, training, and operational changes to all departments. Overall, ensure the optimum sales and streamlined management of the entire product range within responsibility. Customer Service Resolve customer order issues by working with the Sales and Customer Service departments Check marketing workbench daily and resolve issues as required. Other Take reasonable care for the health and safety of yourself and others in the workplace Follow Dicker Data’s policies, procedures, and reasonable instructions at all times Ensure follow-up and realistic time frames are set Skills And Experiences What you will need to succeed in the role • Pref at least five years of experience in a Product Management or Vendor Manager Style Role • Tertiary Qualification in either a business or technology-related arena (or highly aligned experience) • Professional communication skills, both written and verbal • Excellent customer service skills • Relationship building and skills both internally and externally. • Excellent organisational skills with a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines. • Good negotiation skills • Able to work well in a team as well as autonomously • Intermediate MS Office proficiency • Experience working with complex ERP systems is helpful.
