We’re seeking an experienced Health, Safety & Wellbeing professional to lead and enhance health, safety and wellbeing strategies across UK and Ireland operations for a global FMCG business specialising in consumer goods and next-generation products. Covering a central Bristol hub, field-based teams, and satellite sites in London, Dublin and Nottingham, you’ll report to the UK&I People Director and champion a proactive behavioural safety culture while ensuring compliance with group standards and regional legislation.
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing pragmatic, expert advice to managers and employees to embed best practice and maintain compliance.
* Leading quarterly review meetings, tracking actions and engaging stakeholders.
* Investigating incidents, overseeing risk assessments and managing legal compliance registers.
* Delivering and coordinating H&S and wellbeing training, including first aid and mental health initiatives.
* Managing fleet safety data and vehicle monitoring systems to reduce risk.
* Reviewing emergency procedures and supporting business continuity planning.
* Developing and delivering an annual wellbeing agenda and initiatives.
You will have:
* NEBOSH General (essential), NEBOSH Diploma (preferred).
* Strong knowledge of UK & Ireland health & safety legislation and codes of practice.
* Confident communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels.
* Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
* Desirable: IOSH membership, experience managing fleet driver safety, and delivering training.
