Data Validation Specialist
* Hourly Rate: £19.11 PAYE

We are currently seeking three Data Validation Specialists to support the validation of housing stock condition data within a local authority-based environment. This role involves working extensively with Excel to compare and validate data against existing datasets to determine the most accurate source. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data content, experience in asset management, and a keen awareness of the impact of data accuracy.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Validate housing stock condition data using Excel, ensuring high levels of accuracy.
* Compare data across different sources to identify the most reliable data for use in asset management systems.
* Understand and apply knowledge of building construction, compliance, and regulations in data validation.
* Utilise problem-solving skills and an inquisitive nature to address and resolve data discrepancies.
* Maintain meticulous attention to detail in all aspects of data handling and validation.
* Collaborate with team members to enhance data validation processes and outcomes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Proficient in Excel, including the use of basic formulas.
* Strong understanding of data formats and the principles of data accuracy.
* Experience in asset management, preferably within the housing sector.
* Familiarity with asset management systems, experience with QL is advantageous.
* Knowledge of building construction, building compliance, and building regulations.
* Awareness of HHSRS (Housing Health and Safety Rating System) and decent homes standards.
* Excellent problem-solving abilities and a naturally inquisitive approach to work.
* Commitment to maintaining high standards of data accuracy.
