Business Development Manager – Utilities Sector
Location: Bury Centre | Salary: Up to £40,000 + Commission | Type: Full-time/ Hybrid

Crown Energy is expanding—and we’re looking for a Business Development Manager with proven experience in the utilities sector to join our high-performing team. This is a key commercial role where you’ll lead efforts in identifying new business opportunities, forging lasting client relationships, and driving revenue growth in a competitive, fast-moving sector.

Your Role Will Include:
* Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in the utilities and infrastructure sectors
* Engaging with potential clients to understand their needs and offer tailored utility solutions
* Maintaining and expanding relationships with existing clients, ensuring excellent service and retention
* Attending industry events, conferences, and networking sessions to represent Crown Energy
* Monitoring industry trends and competitor activity to shape effective business strategies
* Creating accurate sales forecasts and working toward quarterly revenue targets
* Managing customer data effectively using our in-house CRM system
What You Bring:
* Proven experience in business development or B2B sales within the utilities sector (energy, water, gas, or telecom infrastructure)
* A solid understanding of the UK utilities market, including client expectations, regulatory environments, and market trends
* Strong negotiation skills and ability to build relationships with clients, contractors, and industry stakeholders
* Results-driven and adaptable with the ability to work to deadlines under pressure
* Tech-savvy with strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and CRM tools
* Excellent communication and presentation abilities
