Job Description
Based at Dundee House, you will work full time, 37 hours per week on a temporary basis of 2 years. The Modern Apprentice Scheme is focused to target high youth unemployment in the Dundee Area. Funding for training is only available for candidates aged 16 to 19 or disabled/care experienced applicants under the age of 30. Requirements
You will have 3 National 5 or equivalent including English and Maths, Foundation Apprenticeship or equivalent.
Responsibilities
You will work in a team which supports the telephony service within Dundee City Council. Providing administration of the Council’s telephony contracts, support for telephone faults and installation/setup of fixed and mobile telephone handsets. This may also include other mobile devices Tablets.
The Individual
You will have a basic knowledge/understanding of general office administration, proven IT skills and experience of Microsoft Office package, Word, Access, Outlook, Excel The ability to work well as part of a team to use own initiative and have good written and verbal communication skills along with good planning and organisational skills and being able to demonstrate attention to detail and high levels of accuracy. You will have an understanding of, and the ability to deliver a high quality of customer service with a genuine interest in new and emerging digital and electronic technologies. The commitment and ability to achieve the full Modern Apprenticeship and to achieving SVQ3 Business and Administration @ SCQF level 6 are essential.
