Job title: BIM Manager Based from: Remote/Dronfield Reports to: Technical Manager Direct reports: BIM/CAD Technicians S alary: Up to £60,000 per annum T he Role A s the BIM Manager you will be responsible for the BIM/CAD team, ensuring quality and compliance of all drawings/models for various clients’ projects. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining BIM standards, supporting teams through training and development and acting as the primary liaison for all BIM/CAD-related matters both internally and externally.D u ties and ResponsibilitiesD e veloping and implementing company-wide BIM processes, workflows and internal standards documentation Ma intaining up-to-date knowledge of BIM trends, standards (e.g. ISO 19650), and technologies and drive their integration into business operations En suring compliance with BIM contractual obligations including BEPs, data exchange protocols (e.g. IFC, COBie) and project-specific requirements Ma naging the development, maintenance and distribution of BIM Execution Plans (BEPs), Model Production and Delivery Tables (MPDTs) and other project documentationDe livering structured BIM training to both the immediate and wider teams Le ading and mentoring the BIM/CAD Technicians, supporting their development and resolving technical challengesPo int of escalation for any BIM/CAD queries and issues Co llaborating with both internal teams and clients to understand their BIM expectations and ensuring that all project deliverables align with their requirements Ov erseeing BIM budgets, including management of software licences, training investments and hardware resources to ensure cost efficiency Co nducting regular audits of BIM models to ensure quality, accuracy and adherence to internal standards, client standards and industry standardsCh ampioning the use of best practices in data management, coordination and model production to ensure consistency and quality across all projects Co ordinating BIM activities across multiple projects and disciplines, ensuring compliance with ISO 19650 and other relevant standardsOv erseeing clash detection, model audits, and quality assurance processesNo job description can be entirely comprehensive and the jobholder will be expected to adapt and carry out such other duties as may be required from time to time, on the understanding that they will be within the individual’s remit and capability, and consistent with the status and responsibilities of the role within the business.Per s on SpecificationEss e ntialPre v ious experience working as a BIM Manager or equivalent positionIn-d epth understanding of ISO 19650 and other relevant international/local BIM standards Prov en ability to develop and manage BIM execution plans, standards, and company workflowsExpe rience auditing and maintaining high standards of model quality and data accuracyExce llent communication skills including preparing and delivering presentationsGood knowledge of MS products, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and confident using IT softwareExce llent attention to detail, sound problem solving skills and analytical thinking with demonstrable experience of delivering action plans to resolve issues and remedy disputesProf icient in BIM-related software (e.g. Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD) and data exchange formats (IFC, COBie)Unde rstanding of Common Data Environments (CDEs) and federated model workflows Desi r ableBIM c ertification or formal qualification Previ ous experience of working within Fire, Security or Data infrastructure industryExper ience using AutoCADExper ience using AutoDesk Construction Cloud We ar e an equal opportunity employer and value diversity. The role requires flexibility in working hours and may involve evenings or early mornings and may be required to spend time away from home from time to time to fulfil the job role. The role will manage their own diary to ensure effective use of time and to support business requirements.Travel to Europe may be required. This would be agreed in advance and would be occasional.
