Trolley Repair Technician
Overview
To carry out all necessary soft and hard repairs to trolleys in a timely and efficient manner while maintaining quality standards. No experience is necessary for this position, as training will be provided; however, candidates should be aware that the work environment can be noisy, heavy, and repetitive.
Working Hours
* 40 hours per week
* Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
* Starting at £12.21 per hour
* Increase to £12.48 following completion of Module 1 training
* Further increase to £12.83 following completion of Module 2 training
* Opportunity to earn additional KPI payments of £65.00 per week upon completion of Module 2 training

* Available after 40 hours worked
o Time and a third for weekdays
o Time and a half for weekends
Bank Holidays
* Paid at normal rate for hours worked, in addition to a full day's pay
* Access to facilities (e.g., gym, canteen)
* Full induction plan with structured training modules leading to pay increases
Probationary Period
* 3 months
Main Responsibilities / Key Tasks
* Conduct initial checks on trolleys, noting areas requiring attention.
* Systematically address required amendments, setting aside for 'hard' repairs if necessary.
* Remove any debris from wheels, ensuring trolleys are cosmetically pleasing.
* Perform a further check to confirm that all repairs have been made and trolleys are operating correctly.
* Conduct a final check to ensure there are no sharp edges and that the castors flow properly.
* Manage the movement of trolleys within the working environment, adhering to Health & Safety regulations.
* Use a scanner to ensure every repair is recorded appropriately.
General
* Maintain a clean and tidy working area, free of any foreign objects throughout the day.
* Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and uniform at all times.
* Familiarise yourself with and abide by the Employee Handbook, Policies, and all relevant Risk Assessments associated with tasks.
Working Conditions
The role can be physically demanding, involving repetitive tasks such as banging metal and putting on wheels. It is essential to be able to work well in a team environment, as the work can be hard, but it is equally rewarding.
