What You’ll Be Doing
In this high-impact role, you’ll be the technical cornerstone of our electrical operations. Responsibilities include:
* Ensuring compliance with all statutory, industry, and internal policies and standards
* Weekly review of electrical programmes to ensure proper authorisations, safe execution, and full compliance
* Acting as NERS Authorising Officer up to 33kV
* Leading competency assurance and development across operational teams
* Supporting electrical testing, commissioning, and complex substation connections
* Overseeing the procurement and evaluation of materials to meet technical and commercial standards
* Delivering training, briefings, and driving a strong safety culture on and off site
* Supporting project managers, business development, and operational colleagues with technical guidance
* Site visits to operational sites and Energy Assets offices will be required
What We’re Looking For
* IOSH (or equivalent) qualification in Health & Safety
* Strong understanding of CDM regulations
* Proven experience in HV pressure testing and substation commissioning (up to 33kV)
* Eligibility and experience to act as Authorising Officer under the NERS scheme
* Valid CSCS SHEA Power Passport
* Excellent communication and leadership skills
