Known for high‑quality workmanship and innovative builds, we work with major fleets and operators across the UK. As demand continues to grow, we are expanding our skilled workshop team.
We are looking for an experienced and talented Coachbuilder to join our production workshop. You will be involved in the construction, repair, and modification of commercial vehicle bodies, including tippers, curtainsiders, box vans, dropsides, and bespoke one‑off builds.
This is a hands‑on, varied, and rewarding role for someone with strong fabrication and fitting skills and a passion for quality craftsmanship.
Key Responsibilities
* Build and fit commercial vehicle bodies and components.
* Carry out structural fabrication, panel fitting, and assembly work.
* Install bodywork features such as floors, sides, roofs, tail lifts, doors, and load‑bearing structures.
* Read and work from technical drawings and build specifications.
* Use hand tools, power tools, and workshop machinery safely and effectively.
* Work to high standards of finish and quality control.
* Contribute to problem‑solving and bespoke engineering solutions.
* Work as part of a skilled and supportive workshop team.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
* Strong fabrication and assembly skills.
* Ability to interpret drawings and work with precision.
* Confident using a range of tools and workshop equipment.
* Good attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
Desirable:
* Experience with commercial vehicle bodies (e.g., tippers, box bodies, curtainsiders).
* Welding skills (MIG).
* Understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, or body fittings.
* Ability to contribute to custom/bespoke builds.
* Previous experience as a coachbuilder, fabricator, bodybuilder, or similar role in automotive/commercial vehicles.
