About the Role
Milk Education is recruiting a dedicated ASD Teaching Assistant to support a Reception-aged student with Autism Spectrum Disorder in a mainstream primary school in Southwark. This role is ideal for someone passionate about early years education and providing tailored support to help children thrive.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide 1:1 support for a Reception student with ASD
2. Assist in delivering activities to support learning, communication, and social development
3. Support the child’s emotional regulation and behaviour
4. Help create a calm, structured, and inclusive learning environment
5. Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to implement personalised strategies
The Ideal Candidate
6. Experience working with children with ASD (desirable but not essential)
7. Patient, adaptable, and proactive
8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
9. Passionate about helping young children reach their potential
