The responsibilities of a Chemical Plant Manager are as follows:
1. To constantly be looking at the improvement of processes to implement changes and, therefore, reduce costs and drive efficiencies on the plant unit
2. Looking at cost and time efficiencies of the plant unit, identifying delays and solving these delays
3. Ability to analyse, identify, evaluate, and mitigate technical and project risks day to day to calculate Plant Reliability
4. Achieving production targets daily, weekly, monthly & yearly in order to meet the overall company targets and strategy
5. The ideal candidate will have the ability to problem solve, whilst also possessing strong attention to detail to ensure the smooth operation of the plant
To fulfil these responsibilities as a Chemical Plant Manager you will have the following skills/experience:
6. Degree qualified (Chemical Engineering)
7. Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and make decisions
8. Thorough understanding of critical Health & Safety environments (experience within an Upper Tier COMAH environment is desirable)
9. Proven experience in improving the manufacturing process (reducing cost, improving efficiency etc) using statistical methods, CAPEX
10. Experience in, and a strong understanding of lean manufacturing processing
