Role Summary
SaB Consultancy are delighted to be exclusively recruiting a Finance Director position to join a highly successful family-owned multi utilities company based in Cheshire. Reporting to the Managing Director and as a member of the senior leadership team this role is a key part of a strategic plan of accelerated growth both organically and through acquisition and is pivotal in driving the growth and development of the business.
Responsibilities

* Develop and implement financial strategies to support growth and profitability across delivery of multi-utility services in line with strategic objectives of the business.
\t
* Lead the timely and accurate preparation and reporting of financial reports, statements, and analysis to regulators, government bodies, internal and external stakeholders.
\t
* Prepare and present annual budgets, multi-year forecasts, and long-term financial models.
\t
* Deliver accurate and timely, financial reporting, performance dashboards, and variance analysis.
\t
* Support tariff/pricing models in line with regulatory requirements and customer affordability goals.
\t
* Manage cash flow, working capital, and capital investment programs to ensure operational and infrastructure resilience.
\t
* Oversee financing strategies, including debt, equity, and funding for major capital projects.
\t
* Ensure that effective IT systems are deployed to provide secure, timely and accurate information in a format that resonates with all internal stakeholders and appropriate safeguards are in place for cyber security and disaster recovery.

* Identify and manage financial risks, including market volatility, political & regulatory changes, energy pricing, and infrastructure investment risks.
\t
* Implement strong internal controls and corporate governance standards.
\t
* Ensure compliance with UK financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax requirements.
\t
* Oversee audits and liaise with external auditors, investors, and regulators. Improve the financial awareness and skills of non-finance staff in critical areas to improve their skills and accountability for their management of financial matters in their roles.

* Identify and evaluate investment opportunities and potential acquisitions to support the company's growth strategy.
\t
* Foster a culture of professional standards, accountability, continuous improvement, and innovation.
\t
* Build strong cross-functional relationships with all other pillars of the business.
Candidate Profile
My client will consider a qualified or experienced Finance Director ideally with multi-utilities sector experience. You must be able to demonstrate you can work with energy, gravitas and ambition coupled with a track record of having provided strong financial stewardship, commercial and business acumen in a previous role.
