Main purpose of the role As a Wellbeing in Nature Facilitator, you’ll work directly with participants (vulnerable children, young people and adults), helping them develop new skills, build confidence, and overcome personal barrier, all through the power of nature Our Wellbeing in Nature Facilitators are part of the Operations Team and report to the Operations Managers. What the job will entail This role can be both physically and emotionally demanding, so it’s important that applicants have a realistic sense of what the work involves. You’ll be outdoors throughout the year in all weathers, adapting to changing conditions and varying routines. The role also requires you to move and carry tools, water, and other equipment regardless of the weather. Many of our participants come to us while dealing with complex or challenging personal circumstances, and they rely on us for steady, compassionate support. While the job isn’t always easy, it is hugely rewarding. You’ll play a meaningful part in helping children, young people and adults develop new skills, build confidence, and make positive changes in their lives - and that sense of purpose is at the heart of the role. What you will need A positive, patient, and approachable demeanour, with the ability to build trust and motivate others. Someone who is kind, creative and passionate about making a difference in people’s lives. Strong interpersonal communication skills with participants, colleagues, and external partners. Confidence in planning and delivering engaging activities tailored to participant needs. You’ll need to be organised as your sessions include preparing and cooking lunch, taking end of day reflections etc. You’ll need to thrive in a flexible, ever-changing environment and ready to adapt to the needs of the participants and the team. Proficiency in using IT tools, including Microsoft Office, and managing participant data in a CRM system. Commitment to safeguarding, with an understanding of maintaining professional boundaries.
