The Role: Your Contribution to Village
As our Chef De Partie / Kitchen Team Leader, you are the engine room of the line.
Unlike our Assistant Kitchen Managers—who focus heavily on overall kitchen strategy, recruitment, and big-picture profit performance—your mission is entirely about elite execution: taking absolute ownership of your specific kitchen section and ensuring every single dish flying out of it is of a consistently high standard. You get to focus on the food, the pace, and the passion of the service while supervising and supporting your team on the ground.
The 'bones' of what you will be doing are about:
* The Section Specialist: Running your designated section with pride, keeping a flawless flow of work, controlling portions, and checking the quality and appearance of every plate.
* The Safety Guardian: Keeping your station pristine and adhering strictly to food hygiene regulations according to FRESH, HACCP, and EHO directives.
* The Crew Supporter: Supervising kitchen team members and kitchen porters, keeping lines of communication open with front-of-house, and stepping in to help your fellow chefs when the line gets slammed.
* The Food Champion: Role-modelling our high-performance behaviours and driving a genuine passion for food knowledge through menu tastings and daily team briefings.
