While many companies only pay Care Assistants for contact time, we believe you should be paid for every minute you work, so wepay for both travel time and mileage.
On average, travel time equates to 10% of your working time, so put simply,working for a company that doesn't paytravel time means you'll be unpaid for 10% of every working day.
Responsibilitiesof a Care Assistant
Personal care duties
Manual handling, using equipment where required
Promoting customer health and wellbeing
Companionship and help with activities/appointments
Shopping and domestic tasks around the home
Working every other weekend, or one day every weekend
To become a Care Assistant, you need:
Full and valid UK driving licence
Access to a car/vehicle
No experience as full training is provided
Excellent level of English
To be aged 18+
