Compass Building & Construction Services Ltd are seeking two building technicians to undertake a BSc (Hons) Construction and the Built Environment Graduate Apprenticeship. The graduate apprenticeship is a four year programme delivered in partnership with the apprentice, employer and UHI Inverness and comprises of the following components:-\n\nâ¢\tApprentices are required to attend college for 3 blocks of 3 weeks, five days per week, undertaking six 20-credit modules per year (or equivalent). \nâ¢\tOption to leave after successful completion of:\no\tyear 1 with UHI Certificate of Higher Education (CertHE) equivalent of HNC\no\tyear 2 with UHI Diploma of Higher Education (DipHE) equivalent of HND\no\tyear 3 with BSc Degree (Graduate Apprenticeship BSc Construction and the Built Environment)\no\tyear 4 with BSc Honours (Graduate Apprenticeship BSc (hons) Construction and the Built Environment)\n\nWhilst at work, time will be spent working in all the different departments of the business, including:-\n\nâ¢\tSite Management\nâ¢\tSetting-Out\nâ¢\tQuantity Surveying\nâ¢\tEstimating\nâ¢\tSafety & Quality\nâ¢\tBuying\n\nOn successful completion of each year, applicants will have the opportunity to further their career in their chosen field and undertake further academic studies in agreement with employer.\n â¢\tNational Certificate in Built Environment, or\nâ¢\tFoundation Apprenticeship in Civil Engineering, or\nâ¢\tNational Certificate in Civil Engineering, or\nâ¢\t3 Scottish Highers at grade BBC or above, or\nâ¢\tPrevious construction/trade craft experience.\n\nThe successful applicant will ideally have the following skills, qualities, and experience:-\nâ¢\tFull UK driving licence (preferred but not essential).\nâ¢\tThe ability to work effectively with others as a competent team member.\nâ¢\tA genuine desire to work in the construction industry.\nâ¢\tWe are looking for someone who is a versatile, flexible and accommodating worker.\nâ¢\tBe hardworking, conscientious, trustworthy, friendly, timeous and dependable.\n\n\n
