Paraplanner - Manchester
Our client is looking for a Paraplanner to join their team in Manchester. Flexibility with remote working also available. You will be working alongside the Financial Advisers, preparing and maintaining client files and putting forward recommendations, and reviewing client financial strategy.
Specific activities include:
1. Check all compliance paperwork is present
2. Confirm client risk profile is determined
3. Discuss client objectives with Financial Advisers
4. Identify and obtain the information necessary to compile financial cash flow forecast
5. Identify areas for planning
6. Undertake research both independently and with the Financial Adviser to identify suitable solutions to meet the client's needs
7. Prepare information/comparisons for analysis by planner
8. Liaise with client’s legal and tax advisers (if applicable)
9. Consider current and future allocation of assets for investment strategy with regard to client risk profile
10. Prepare draft recommendation reports to be discussed/signed off by planner
11. Prepare suitability letters in accordance with the agreed recommendations
12. Complete application / proposals forms
13. Ensure all compliance paperwork is in order
14. Make changes to clients’ investments as instructed
15. Implement the chosen investment strategies
16. Act as main point of contact and deal effectively with queries from clients and other parties through effective communication
17. Establish and build strong relationships with clients and attend client meetings with Financial Adviser if required
18. Organise future planning meetings with client
19. Review investment portfolio, asset allocation, risk profile etc
20. Send planning figures to client for update and revision in preparation for next meeting
21. Initiate review meetings with clients
Key skills/Experience required:
Essential
22. Previous experience within the financial services as a Paraplanner required (at least 2 years)
23. Understanding of the Financial Planning process
24. Able to work within defined business processes
25. Ability to achieve agreed outcomes without supervision
26. Prioritise and plan own workload
27. Detailed and accurate
28. Articulate
29. Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
30. Ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
31. Good IT skills
32. Good report writing skills
33. Ability to work independently and in a team
Desirable
34. Broad knowledge of financial services world
35. High level of technical knowledge
Qualifications:
36. Level 4 qualified, or working towards
