Firearms Licensing Administrator needed in Exeter, £12.79ph PAYE – Reference: 365484
3.5 days per week
To provide an effective and efficient administrative service to the firearms licensing team, ensuring all applications support legal activity. Responsibilities include:
1. Processing applications and flagging concerns or suspicions of criminal activity to Supervisors.
2. Maintaining knowledge of Firearms Legislation and updating processes accordingly.
3. Serving as a customer-focused contact for telephone enquiries, providing advice on firearms licensing.
4. Managing and processing payments for certificates.
5. Handling high volumes of mail and email.
6. Performing checks on applicants using intelligence systems.
7. Ensuring applications are accurately recorded and uploaded to management systems.
8. Scanning and storing application documents securely.
9. Seeking continuous process improvements and reporting opportunities to Supervisors.
10. Representing the team when required.
This is a part-time role on a temporary contract basis.
