CNC Machine Programmer / Operator
5-Axis Milling, Turning & Prototype Assembly

Talos Technology is an EV technology company developing cutting-edge electric powertrains for automotive applications. As we establish a new prototype manufacturing facility in Banbury, we are seeking an experienced CNC Machine Programmer / Operator to join our engineering team.
This role offers hands-on involvement across machining, design support, and prototype electric motor assembly.
The Role
You will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC machines to produce high-precision prototype components.
Key responsibilities:
* Program, set, and operate a Mazak 5-axis milling machine
* Program, set, and operate a Haas CNC lathe
* Develop and optimise CNC programs for prototype and low-volume production
* Provide Design for Manufacture (DFM) input during the design phase
* Manufacture precision electric motor components to tight tolerances
* Carry out first-off and in-process inspections
* Play an active role in prototype electric motor assembly
* Support continuous improvement of processes, tooling, and fixtures
About You
* Proven experience as a CNC Programmer / Operator
* Strong experience with 5-axis milling (Mazak preferred)
* Experience programming and operating CNC lathes (Haas preferred)
* Ability to interpret engineering drawings and CAD models
* High attention to detail and quality
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced prototype environment
