Pharmacy Technician at Practice Plus Group
Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Oakwood, a category C Prison located in Wolverhampton. The Pharmacy Team consists of 10 Pharmacy Techs and 2 Pharmacy Assistants. There are 3 main houseblocks with two dispensaries and three smaller units with one dispensary.

Hours & Schedule
* Monday – Sunday service
* 37.5 hours per week
* 4‑week rolling rota
Fortnightly Rota
* WK1 – Tuesday and Friday 0700‑1800hrs, Wednesday & Thursday 0700‑1730hrs
* WK2 – Tuesday 0700‑1800hrs, Wednesday 0700‑1730hrs, Saturday & Sunday 0730‑1730hrs
* WK3 – Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 0700‑1800hrs
* WK4 – Monday and Tuesday 0700‑1800hrs, Saturday & Sunday 0730‑1730hrs
Salary
Full‑time position with an annual salary between £29,264 and £33,510 per annum FTE, pro‑rota.

What you'll be doing
* Provide outstanding quality based patient‑centred care to our patients, seeking out, listening to, and acting on their feedback so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them.
* Focus on providing a safe and secure medicines management service, ensuring patient medical records are maintained to the agreed standard at all times and ensuring standard operating procedures are followed to a high and orderly standard.
* Deliver non‑judgemental care within the scope of professional standards, from the timely administration of medicines through to analysing cost‑effective prescribing as defined through our unique Health in Justice medicines policy.
* Work as a key member of a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, making a real difference.

What we’re looking for
* NVQ Level 3, or above, BTEC or equivalent
* Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
* Up to date with continued professional development (CPD)
* Relevant post‑qualification pharmacy experience
* General GCSE education or equivalent
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Able to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures
* Experience in a hospital, community or prison environment (ideal, but not essential)
