Role Overview
The role of the Area Sales Manager – Bathroom Retail Showrooms will involve:
* Field sales position promoting a manufactured premium range of bathroom furniture, sanitary ceramics, shower trays, shower trays, bath tubs, shower‑toilets and accessories
* Account management position, with a focus on relationship building (not hard selling)
* Targeting Owner and MD of small independent bathroom retail showrooms
* Responsible for circa 50 independent showrooms, 2 buying group members and 18 members of larger groups such as UKPS (example: Willbonds Nottingham)
* Tasked with stretching individual accounts by taking business from the competition and introducing new product lines
* Approx. three customer visits per day
* Meeting customers every 6 to 8 weeks depending on the size of the account
* Assisting with merchandising, training, developing and nurturing bathroom retailers
* Working for one of the best known brands in the industry, where the customer holds the door open for you!
Ideal Applicant Profile
* Proven track record in account management and field sales ideally from within the bathroom industry but open to KBB
* Capable of account managing a multi‑million pound business, like it was your own
* Must have sold into retail showrooms, bathroom showrooms within merchants
* Ideally sold associated products such as: underfloor heating, mirrors, tiles, showers, baths, toilets, basins, mixers, saunas, bathroom furniture etc (anything that goes into a bathroom)
* Adaptability to sell into retailer bathroom owners / MD's
* Eye for design, appreciation for the value of a brand
* Resilient personality with genuine sales ability
* Professional and prepared with strong organisational and territory management skills
