Mini Bus Driver
We are currently seeking a driver to work in Scunthorpe and the surrounding areas to transport pupils with special needs to schools and colleges.
The hours worked will be split shifts to accommodate transport from home to school in the mornings and to transport from school to home in the afternoons. This will be during school term time only.
1. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate an understanding of the pupil’s/student’s needs and abilities. They will also be expected to communicate with empathy.
2. Experience of driving minibuses would be desirable but is not essential as the successful candidate will undertake training; Mini bus Driving Awareness Scheme (MIDAS).
3. The successful candidate will be expected to work flexible hours to accommodate the needs of the service. Hours may vary due to the different routes, numbers of passengers on the bus and traffic conditions.
4. The successful candidate will undertake necessary training required for the post. To work as a team is expected in this role.
As part of the selection process candidates must take a driving assessment. Candidates must present a D1 driver licence on the day of assessment or the assessment cannot proceed.
