We are seeking an experienced and proactive Legal Secretary to join our client's busy Private Client department in Amersham. This role involves providing comprehensive secretarial support to fee earners, including diary management, client liaison, document preparation, and general administrative duties.

This is a full time role, Mon to Fri, office based, paying £26k - £32k plus benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
Respond promptly to client queries and new business enquiries.
Provide full secretarial support including audio typing of standard and bespoke correspondence, forms, and legal documents using our Case Management and IT systems.
Assist in drafting Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney under appropriate supervision.
Prepare, amend, and format complex legal documents and correspondence.
Manage filing, photocopying, and the opening, closing, and archiving of client files.
Maintain fee earners' diaries, schedule appointments, and accompany them on client visits (e.g., Will signings).
Handle certified document photocopying (e.g., LPAs, Wills).
Ensure high standards of accuracy, confidentiality, and presentation in all work.
Answer incoming calls, welcome visitors, manage post, and support general office administration.
Comply with all due diligence and regulatory requirements including ID checks, letters of engagement, conflict checks, and AML regulations.
Skills & Attributes:
Previous experience in a Private Client legal environment is essential.
Highly organised, motivated, and flexible with a proactive 'can-do' attitude.
Strong typing, audio typing and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
Effective communicator with strong written and verbal skills.
Able to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
Demonstrates empathy and professionalism in client interactions.
A confident team player who takes ownership of their work under supervision.
