We are currently looking for committed and compassionate tutors to support secondary-aged pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN). This role is ideal for tutors who are confident delivering Maths and English and who are passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning. Our pupils come from a wide range of backgrounds. Many have experienced disruption to their education and may have significant gaps in learning. We are therefore seeking patient, adaptable tutors who can build trust, re-engage learners, and guide them steadily back up to speed. The ideal tutor will: Have experience supporting children or young people in an educational setting (e.g. tutoring, teaching, SEN support, youth work, teaching assistant roles) Be confident delivering secondary Maths and English Have experience (or a strong interest) in working with SEN pupils Be calm, empathetic, and able to adapt lessons to meet individual needs Be comfortable working with pupils from a wide variety of social and educational backgrounds Hours & Commitment: Minimum availability of 10 hours per week Tutors seeking a fuller timetable would typically work with 2–3 pupils Consistency and reliability are essential Key Responsibilities: Deliver engaging, tailored Maths and English sessions Support pupils with gaps in learning and low confidence Accurately report attendance and provide a lesson summary after each day Maintain a professional and supportive approach at all times If you are an experienced tutor or education professional who wants to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people, we would love to hear from you.
