We're now looking for a Logistics Administrative Assistant to work alongside and support our busy logistics function. Please note this is a purely administrative support role and does not involve senior-level logistics planning or management responsibilities.
Key roles and responsibilities:
- Collecting shipping documents from factories
- Checking shipping documents and passing them for payment
- Checking and correcting all commodity codes and advising them to shipping companies
- Consigning shipments on the company computer system (Protex)
- Tracking shipments and updating ETA’s & delivery dates on the consignments
- Arranging delivery bookings with EU and UK warehouses
- Taking stock reports from the company computer system (Protex)
- Handling stock related queries
- Upkeeping the shared current shipping sheet, marking off payments
- Receiving goods onto our computer system or checking receipts on the UK warehouse’s system are correct
- Tracking original Bills of Lading and Telex releases to ensure all goods can be cleared on arrival
- Sending out a goods received report daily
- Supporting the shipping department in all other tasks.
Skills required (essential):
- Excellent Microsoft Office & Excel skills
- Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills
Skills required (desirable):
- Previous experience of ERP systems (ideally Protex)
- Minimum 1 years’ experience in similar role
- Knowledge of export documents
- Experience in processing invoices
