Senior Quantity Surveyor
An established Tier 1 highways contractor is building a commercial team for a £50–55m per annum Kent Highways term maintenance contract commencing May 2026.
This is a long-term framework delivering maintenance, operational and improvement works across the public highway network.
The Senior Quantity Surveyor’s Role
You will take ownership of key workstreams and supervise junior QSs within a busy, operational highways contract.
Responsibilities:
Leading subcontractor procurement and account management
Managing NEC compensation events and change control
Producing monthly CVRs and forecasts
Commercial reporting to Business Unit Managers
Managing risk and opportunity registers
Supporting Commercial Managers on financial governance
Driving commercial performance across high-volume works
The Senior Quantity Surveyor
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying
6+ years’ contractor experience
Strong NEC expertise
Highways maintenance or infrastructure background
Experience managing junior commercial staff
Confident in decentralised operational environments
Full UK driving licence

Salary: £75,000 – £85,000
