Elevation Accountancy and Finance are delighted to be working for a fantastic business in Leeds as they look to recruit a Payroll Specialist into their team on a full time, permanent basis.
Responsibilities:
* Accurately and efficiently manage the end-to-end payroll process in accordance with the payroll timetable, using the in-house payroll system (Miracle and Sage50)
* Liaise with international payroll partners to facilitate accurate payroll processing where applicable
* Process payroll changes including new joiners, leavers, holiday pay, overtime, absence, and maternity
* Ensure full compliance with HMRC legislation, including PAYE reporting and statutory obligations
* Administer employee benefits such as pensions, company vehicles, and life insurance
* Investigate and reconcile all payroll discrepancies
* Prepare month-end payroll reports for the Accounts team to support financial reconciliation
* Produce statutory year-end documents such as P60s and P11Ds
* Maintain and regularly update payroll process documentation
* Serve as the first point of contact for payroll-related queries across the company
* Provide administrative support to the Payroll and HR teams
* Audit the payroll and HR systems to ensure accuracy and consistency of data
Person Specification:
* Experience in processing payroll (PAYE) end-to-end
* Proficiency in using payroll systems
* Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
* Exceptional attention to detail and organisational capabilities
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
