Hours: Full‑time, Monday–Friday (8:30am–3:30pm)
Role Overview
Milk Education is recruiting a motivated and enthusiastic Year 1 Teacher to join a welcoming, two‑form entry primary school in the L21 area of Liverpool. This role is suitable for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are keen to develop their practice within a supportive Key Stage 1 setting.
You will take full responsibility for a Year 1 class, delivering engaging and well‑structured lessons that support pupils academically, socially, and emotionally during this vital stage of early education.
Classroom & School Support
1. Two‑form entry primary school rooted in the local community
2. Experienced Classroom Teaching Assistant working alongside you
3. Additional SEN Teaching Assistant support where required
4. Supportive and collaborative KS1 and senior leadership team
Key Responsibilities
5. Plan and deliver high‑quality lessons aligned with the KS1 National Curriculum
6. Create a positive, inclusive, and well‑structured learning environment
7. Differentiate learning to support pupils with SEN and additional needs
8. Promote positive behaviour, independence, and a love of learning
9. Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress effectively
10. Contribute to reports, assessments, and parent communication
11. Work closely with colleagues, the SENCO, and senior leadership
What We’re Looking For
12. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – ECTs are encouraged to apply
13. Experience teaching in KS1 (Year 1 desirable)
14. Experience supporting pupils with SEN is beneficial
15. Strong classroom organisation and behaviour management skills
16. A creative, inclusive, and child‑centred approach
