Shift: Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm (with 24/7 leadership responsibilities across both day and night shifts). Salary: Competitive with Opportunities for Growth. Remote / Hybrid: Occasional hybrid working depending on operational requirements.
We are now looking for an Engineering Shift Lead to join our highly skilled engineering function and play a pivotal role in maintaining asset reliability, supporting team development, and ensuring the operational success of our Salisbury site.

Responsibilities
* Lead, coach, and support a team of multiskilled engineers across all shifts, ensuring high performance and strong communication.
* Oversee both planned and reactive maintenance, balancing priorities to maintain high levels of plant uptime and reliability.
* Ensure compliance with the Preventative Maintenance Plan (PPM) through effective use of the Ultimo CMMS system.
* Analyse engineering downtime, identify root causes, and drive corrective actions to improve asset care and performance.
* Use engineering data and KPIs to validate results, prioritise workload, and inform decision-making.
* Support continuous improvement projects to enhance safety, quality, service, cost efficiency, and sustainability.
* Promote a strong engineering culture built on safety, accountability, and teamwork.
* Collaborate closely with Operations, Technical, HSE, Compliance, Ops Support and external contractors to deliver engineering excellence.
* Ensure all engineering activities meet food safety, hygiene, and statutory compliance standards.
Essential Qualifications
* A minimum NVQ Level 3 in an engineering sector; an HNC/HND in Engineering or Leadership is highly desirable, with any additional relevant qualifications considered an advantage.
* Proven experience leading or supervising a multiskilled engineering team within manufacturing.
* Strong technical understanding of asset care, reliability principles, and engineering best practice.
* Confident using CMMS systems (Ultimo experience highly beneficial).
* Strong influencing, communication, and coaching capability.
