Payroll Assistant (Temporary) Irlam £14.00ph+ Holiday Pay

Are you an experienced Payroll Administrator looking for your next temporary opportunity? We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a reputable organisation based in Irlam, who are seeking a skilled Payroll professional to support their team during a busy period.
This is a fantastic short-term role offering the chance to work in a dynamic and friendly environment, with exposure to international payroll processes and leading payroll systems.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Accurately process monthly payroll for approximately 250 employees
2. Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including PAYE, NI, pensions, and holiday pay
3. Work with ADP Celergo and Workday systems to manage payroll data and reporting
4. Assist with the maintenance of payroll records and employee data updates
5. Resolve employee queries related to payroll and payslips in a professional and timely manner
6. Liaise with internal HR and Finance teams to ensure smooth payroll operations
7. Support with payroll audits and ad hoc reporting as needed
About You:
8. Previous experience in a Payroll Administrator or Payroll Officer role is essential
9. Comfortable using ADP Celergo and Workday (or similar payroll/HRIS systems)
10. Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
11. Strong understanding of UK payroll legislation and best practices
12. Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
13. Strong communication skills and a confidential, professional approach
