A welcoming and high‑achieving Catholic primary school in Ruislip, Hillingdon is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Reception Teacher to join their Early Years team from September 2026. This is a full‑time maternity cover role for the entire academic year through to July 2027. The Role

As a Reception Teacher, you will:

• Lead a Reception class in line with the EYFS framework
• Deliver engaging, play‑based learning experiences
• Support early development in communication, language, and social skills
• Deliver high‑quality phonics teaching (Little Wandle experience desirable)
• Work closely with a full‑time Teaching Assistant
• Monitor, assess, and track pupil progress
• Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching within Early Years (Reception desirable)
• A strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum
• Experience delivering phonics, ideally using Little Wandle
• A nurturing, proactive, and enthusiastic teaching style
• Strong classroom management and organisational skills
• A willingness to support the Catholic ethos of the school

This role would suit an experienced Early Years teacher who is passionate about giving children the best possible start to their education within a supportive and values‑driven school environment.
