As a member of the Automotive Software Ecosystem team, you will build upon your background and expertise in software development tools, open‑source and commercial ecosystem projects such as Virtual Platform technologies, Linux, Android, and automotive open‑source initiatives. You will collaborate with Arm’s ecosystem partners to enable commercial and open‑source implementations, optimizing key software system components for ARM‑based hardware and automotive platforms. This role focuses on developing an extraordinary system software reference for future ARM‑based automotive central compute server technology, emphasizing deep technical knowledge and engaging partners through storytelling and demonstrations of Arm’s automotive software capabilities.
Responsibilities
* Identify, architect, and drive innovative and scalable software and firmware solutions across the Arm automotive ecosystem.
* Compose reference solutions using Arm’s partner offerings on virtual and physical platforms, showcasing Arm’s focused tools and performance analyzers.
* Educate communities through talks, webinars, and live demonstrations.
* Collaborate with Arm marketing teams to build outbound collaterals showcasing Arm technology.
* Work closely with other Arm lines of business to leverage use‑cases, sample applications, and enablement for the automotive domain.
* Ensure data privacy, security, and ethical considerations in all data initiatives.
Required Experience
* Experience in open‑source or commercial firmware.
* Experience in Linux or Android application development.
* Experience developing software written preferably in C.
* Expertise in debugging and optimizing complex software systems.
* Expertise in crafting application and middleware software demonstrations on various platforms within IoT or automotive domains.
* GitHub and/or GitLab CI awareness.
Nice to Have
* Experience working in the open‑source community and understanding contribution processes.
* Familiarity with real‑time/deterministic software engineering concepts.
* Familiarity with programming languages such as Python and Rust.
* Familiarity with automotive safety‑critical (ISO26262) software development practices.
* Good understanding of ARM‑V8, ARM‑V9 architectures, SMMU or IO‑MMUs.
* Familiarity with industry standards such as ACPI and UEFI.
* Familiarity with virtual prototyping technologies.
