Control of Contractors Coordinator

Facilities Management | Full-Time

Our client, a leading facilities management provider, is looking for an organised, proactive, and safety-driven Control of Contractors Coordinator to join their growing team.

If you thrive in a fast-paced technical environment and have a strong understanding of contractor management, compliance, and M&E disciplines, this could be the perfect next step in your career.

The Role

As Control of Contractors Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring all subcontractor activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in line with statutory and legislative requirements. You’ll act as the key link between subcontractors, engineers, and stakeholders — maintaining high safety standards while keeping projects running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

* Supervise and manage subcontractors on site, including booking in and escorting as required
* Review and approve Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
* Issue Work Authorisations and Permits to Work
* Conduct subcontractor inductions and ensure compliance with site security procedures
* Support subcontractor pre-qualification processes
* Carry out ad-hoc inspections to maintain safety and compliance standards
* Liaise with key stakeholders to plan and prioritise works effectively
* Support engineering teams with compliance documentation, logbooks, and security processes

What We’re Looking For

* Previous experience in a similar contractor control or facilities-based role
* Strong knowledge of M&E disciplines and associated statutory requirements
* IOSH Managing Safely (minimum IOSH)
* NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (or working towards)
* Proven experience managing subcontractors from both operational and safety perspectives
* Technical background within Facilities Management or a related engineering field
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong working relationships
* Ability to work in a reactive, fast-paced environment

Why Apply?

* Join a respected facilities management organisation
* Be part of a collaborative and safety-focused engineering team
* Play a critical role in maintaining operational excellence and compliance
* Opportunity to develop your career within a technical environment

If you’re a confident communicator with strong technical awareness and a passion for safety and contractor management, we’d love to hear from you.
