Salary Structure
Starting salary is based on a 39-hour work week and includes a 20% unsocial hours allowance:
* £33,746 per year for 37 hours
* £35,875 per year for 39 hours
* £38,003 per year for 41 hours
All figures include applicable allowances.

Candidate Requirements
To be eligible for this role, applicants must:
* Be at least 18 years old at the time of employment
* Meet Civil Service nationality requirements
* Pass a medical and fitness assessment
* Meet required eyesight and hearing standards
* Have no facial tattoos unless for cultural, religious, or medical reasons
* Have lived in the UK for the past 3 years (for Category A prisons)
Recruitment Process
* Submit the initial application form
* Complete Stage 1 online test (judgment and numerical skills)
* Complete Stage 2 task-based assessment
* Attend an Online Assessment Centre (OAC)
* Undergo medical and fitness screening, including blood pressure, eyesight, and hearing tests
Applicants who pass all stages will be placed on a merit list. Job offers will be made to top-scoring candidates as vacancies arise. The merit list is valid for 12 months.
