Description
Amazon’s Supply Chain Managers play a central role in our global business. They keep our complex, international supply chains working seamlessly and efficiently. As a Supply Chain Manager, you will work closely with multiple stakeholders across Amazon, from Operational teams who are fulfilling customer orders to Program teams and everything in between. You’ll help us optimise our supply chains to improve customer experience and make our business more energy and cost efficient.
Key job responsibilities
* Define supply chain and operating models for the business
* Analyse and interpret data to improve efficiency across supply chains and operations
* Partner with teams to advise on and manage operational challenges
* Support the planning and organisation of complex projects
* Create innovative solutions using data and research to address organisational challenges
* Enhance operational performance and influence change with Stakeholder teams
* Act as a Subject Matter Expert, supporting teams and fostering reliable partnerships with internal Stakeholders
* Analyse complex data to explain KPIs and identify opportunities for higher targets
* Communicate findings and proposals clearly and compellingly, both verbally and in writing
A day in the life
Being a Supply Chain Manager at Amazon involves problem solving and collaboration across teams to navigate challenges impacting our network. You’ll resolve issues and look at the bigger picture to drive objectives. Your role will be varied, from defining supply chain models to assisting with resource planning, providing daily learning opportunities.
Basic Qualifications
* A degree
* Experience in complex problem solving and working under tight schedules
* Experience leading process improvements
* Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
* Experience working cross-functionally with tech and non-tech teams
* Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, macros, index/match, VLOOKUP, VBA, and data links
Preferred Qualifications
* Intermediate knowledge of SQL, including queries, subqueries, aggregation, and data modification
* MBA in supply chain management, operations, engineering, analytics, or related field
* Relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, e-commerce, or transportation planning
