Your new roleYou will join the finance team in an office-based position, playing a key role in the day-to-day running and ongoing development of the finance function. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will contribute to both operational finance and strategic decision-making.
Key responsibilities will include:
1. Preparation of year-end statutory accounts for multiple group entities across the UK and ROI
2. Monthly balance sheet reconciliations and management accounts production
3. VAT returns (UK & ROI) and support with PAYE and widerpliance
4. Cash flow management, forecasting, and monitoring group cash positions
5. Oversight of full ledger processes and maintaining financial accuracy
6. Supporting budgeting, forecasting, andmercial analysis
7. Strengthening internal controls and improving systems and processes
8. Managing statutory returns and liaising with external stakeholders
9. Mentoring and supporting junior members of the finance team
10. Contributing to ad hoc financial projects and reporting requirements
What you'll need to succeedTo be successful, you will be a qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent) with strong technical and practical experience. You will befortable working across multiple entities and confident in engaging with both internal and external stakeholders.You should also have:
11. Proven experience preparing statutory accounts
12. Strong knowledge of UK and ROI VAT requirements
13. Experience improving financial processes and controls
14. Strongmunication and collaboration skills
15. The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Desirable experience includes exposure to corporate finance or M&A activity, as well as a track record of identifying efficiencies and implementing improvements.
