The role reports primarily to the Divisional Representative, CattleEye, with a secondary (dotted line) reporting relationship to the UK Cluster CFO.
Responsibilities:
1. Monthly Financial Reporting: Preparation of accurate and timely management accounts and month-end reconciliations.
2. GEA Reporting: Submission of monthly GEA figures in line with reporting deadlines.
3. Accounts Payable: Processing purchase invoices for timely payments.
4. Credit Control: Management of credit control processes.
5. Sales Invoicing: Generation and issuance of sales invoices.
6. Payroll Coordination: Processing payroll payments and liaising with payroll team.
7. Regulatory Compliance: Submission of statutory returns (PAYE, VAT, etc.) and payments.
8. Statutory Accounts: Preparation of financial statements and tax schedules.
9. Process Improvement: Enhancing operational efficiency.
10. SAP Implementation: Supporting SAP system deployment.
11. Ad Hoc Analysis: Providing reports and investigations for management.
12. Compliance & Risk Reporting: Monitoring compliance activities.
13. Budgeting & Forecasting: Developing and maintaining financial models.
14. Authorisation Controls: Managing approval hierarchies.
Minimum Requirements:
* 2–3 years of operational finance experience, including shared services, finance transformation, and system optimisation.
* UK accounting qualification (AAT, CIMA, or QBE).
* Experience managing grant claims for UK and Northern Ireland (desirable).
* Strong accounting and controlling expertise.
* Hands-on SAP experience.
* Advanced financial modelling, analysis, and data interpretation skills.
* Ability to integrate non-financial factors into decision-making.
* Strong commercial acumen and understanding of business drivers.
* Proven compliance management experience.
* Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
* Strategic thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
* Effective leadership support skills.
* Intercultural competence and stakeholder relationship building.
