Key Responsibilities: Provide expert advice and guidance on complex employee relations matters, ensuring compliance with employment legislation and internal policies. Support and coach managers to strengthen their HR knowledge and effectively resolve employee issues. Lead on absence and welfare case management, including occupational health referrals and ongoing support. Promote employee wellbeing initiatives and manage the relationship with external occupational health providers. Advise on performance management, learning and development needs, and role development; contribute to wider engagement strategies. Collaborate with internal departments to support cohesive communication and aligned HR practices. Liaise with payroll and finance to address pay queries, support salary benchmarking, and oversee contract and benefits administration. Develop, update, and implement HR policies and procedures; support training delivery and ensure ongoing legislative compliance. Support the development of recruitment and retention strategies; ensure processes are robust, effective, and audit-ready. Produce regular HR reports, analyse workforce data, and assist with statutory reporting requirements. Ensure compliance with employment law, health and safety standards, and data protection regulations. Provide effective HR service delivery that aligns with budget targets and performance indicators. Build and maintain trusted relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners, representing the HR function with professionalism. Candidate Profile: Proven experience in a generalist HR role, ideally within a regulated or fast-paced environment. Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practices. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to coach and influence at all levels. Confident managing complex casework and interpreting HR data. CIPD qualified or working towards a CIPD qualification is highly desirable.
