Teaching Assistant – Maternity Cover

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in Morecambe who are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team from November 2025 to cover a period of maternity leave.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development. The school is looking for a caring and enthusiastic individual who has previous experience working with SEN pupils, particularly supporting children with additional needs in the classroom.
The role will involve:
* Supporting pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN) on a 1:1 and small group basis
* Assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons
* Promoting positive behaviour and inclusion within the classroom
* Helping pupils to achieve their personal and academic goals
The ideal candidate will have:
* Previous experience working with children with SEN (essential)
* A patient, adaptable and supportive approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* A commitment to making a positive difference in children’s education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
