The Role:
We are seeking an experienced solicitor to join our London office as Intellectual Property Counsel. The successful candidate will advise clients on contentious and non-contentious IP matters, focusing on strategy, enforcement, disputes, and commercial exploitation of IP rights.
Requirements:
• Minimum of 5 years’ legal practice experience.
• Qualified solicitor registered with the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) of England and Wales.
• Ability to start immediately or no later than early to mid-October.
Key Responsibilities:
• Act in IP disputes, including infringement, passing-off, and enforcement proceedings.
• Represent clients before the High Court, IPEC, and in arbitration/mediation settings.
• Draft, review, and negotiate IP-related agreements (licensing, collaboration, R&D, distribution).
• Advise on IP strategy, ownership, exploitation, and risk management.
• Support corporate transactions by advising on IP due diligence and integration.
• Coordinate with patent and trade mark attorneys on filing/prosecution issues, while leading on litigation and commercial matters.
