The shift pattern for this post is Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm, totaling 37.5 hours per week. The role involves providing leadership across all services within the remit.
Post Title: Assistant Clinical Director – Special Care (1-year fixed term)
Base: Stobhill Hospital – Oral Health Directorate Offices and New Victoria Hospital
An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit an Assistant Clinical Director (Special Care) within the Public Dental Service at NHS GG&C for a fixed term of one year. The successful candidate will develop and deliver primary care dental services to vulnerable groups with complex needs within the health board area. Responsibilities include leading care delivery for those accessing special care dentistry, whether registered or unregistered, managing complex adult care, and shaping service delivery for patients referred by GPs, HCWs, or secondary care.
This role involves three administration sessions and seven clinical sessions. The post also includes involvement with postgraduate training programs, reviewing access to NHS dental services, and proposing improvements for patients unable to register with NHS dentists or access domiciliary services. The candidate should innovate to improve access and collaborate with partners such as Glasgow University and secondary care colleagues.
