A growing company working in the automotive, aerospace, and medical sectors is seeking a Quality Technician to join their team. Responsibilities
* Perform a variety of testing on incoming raw materials, manufactured materials, and laboratory testing on final products.
* Enter data into quality system databases and maintain test, inspection, and calibration records.
* Partner with technical support, manufacturing, quality engineers, and operations staff to meet objectives.
* Inspect finished products and authorize release to customers.
* Update standard operating procedures and participate in problem‑solving activities using 5Ws, 8D, and Fishbone.
* Provide support for customer complaints and health, safety, and environmental work as required.
Qualifications
* Science or Engineering background to at least A level / HNC / HND standard.
* Conscientious, thorough, and detail oriented.
* Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Ability to work with mathematics, statistical equations, and graphical or chart interpretations.
* Knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001/14001, IATF 16949, SPC, PPAP, and data analysis.
* Capacity to work independently or as part of a team to meet goals.
* Strong interpersonal skills and a flexible attitude.
* Ability to work from home – a laptop will be provided.
You will be part of a diverse team of five that collaborates throughout the business.
In return you will receive a salary of up to GBP 26,000 per annum.
