We have an exciting role on offer within our Prevention and Provider Services as a Connect Response Officer.

You would become part of an ambitious team delivering an invaluable service to the residents of Middlesbrough. Connect is a Middlesbrough Council service which delivers the Community alarm services and Telecare services to people across Middlesbrough, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We offer help and support to older, vulnerable and disabled people to help them to remain safe and independent in their own home.
As a Connect Response Officer, you will receive emergency first aid, moving and handing training as well as training to able to perform dynamic risk assessments. We also have specialist-lifting equipment available to support our service users if they have fallen. You will assess the nature of each emergency and provide the necessary support for the service user. You will offer reassurance and make them feel as calm as possible throughout the visit.
You will work alongside Connect Customer Advisors and other associated professionals to provide a service throughout the Middlesbrough Area.
We are looking for someone who is:

In this role, good communication skills are vital. Responding with empathy is important as well as providing the reassurance the service user needs.
You will be working 36.56 hours a week.
