Salary: Up to £45,000/year
Working pattern: Hybrid (3 days required in the office)
Robert Half is proudly working with an established professional services firm to recruit for an experienced and detail-oriented Financial Accountant.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support month-end close activities, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
* Maintain strong financial controls and assist with process improvements and automation.
* Collaborate with teams across actuarial, underwriting, and claims to interpret financial data.
* Assist in managing insurance accounts, premium taxes, and reinsurance reporting.
* Contribute to year-end audits, statutory reporting, business planning, and regulatory filings.
* Participate in cross-functional projects as a representative of the finance team.
Skills & Experience:
Essential:
* Part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
* Strong Excel and financial systems knowledge.
* Proven reconciliation and control environment experience.
* High attention to detail, strong numerical and analytical skills.
* Effective communicator with strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
Desirable:
* Experience in financial services.
* Understanding of data flow from operational systems to financial statements.
* Experience working in small or multi-functional teams.
