Join our Oilfield and Industrial Chemicals Team
Baker Hughes is seeking a corrosion scientist to work in the Integrity Management Technology team based at the Liverpool Centre of Excellence site. You will be comfortable working around production chemicals in a laboratory setting and be able to handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously. You will collaborate with other members of the technology team, customers and other relevant stakeholders on a regular basis.
You will also be responsible for:
1. Performing corrosion inhibitor evaluations in a laboratory research environment:
2. Conducting atmospheric, high temperature and pressure autoclave testing on oil, water samples and product formulations
3. Communicating and presenting data to clients and other relevant stakeholders
4. Analysing and interpreting technical data to help customers solve their problems and produce aligned technical reports
5. Practicing safe working habits, including complying with HSE rules and regulations.
6. Handling special projects as assigned

To be successful in this role you will have:
7. Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related subject
8. Some experience in a lab setting with corrosion applications
9. Project management skills: you will be handling multiple projects at a given time and would need to manage them at a high standard
10. Excellent communication and presentation skills
11. A Team Player mindset
12. Ability to work on own initiative once fully trained
13. Ability to work in a fast paced and high volume environment able to adapt to changing project requirements and deadlines
