Learning Support Assistant – PRU Setting (Rochdale)Contract: Full-time | Monday–Friday, 8:00am–3:30pm Pay: From £13.50 per hour (dependent on experience) Axcis Education is currently recruiting for a learning support assistant to work within a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Rochdale. This is a rewarding opportunity to support young people who require additional guidance and structure to thrive in education. We are looking for a confident, calm and resilient individual who has proven experience working with challenging behaviour and is passionate about making a positive difference in young people’s lives. Key Requirements: •Previous experience supporting children or young people with challenging behaviour (essential) •Experience within a PRU, alternative provision, or SEND setting (desirable) •Calm, patient and nurturing approach •Ability to use initiative and respond effectively to dynamic situations •Strong behaviour management skills •Child and Adult DBS registered on the Update Service (essential) •Available to start immediately The Role: •Supporting students on a 1:1 and small group basis •Assisting with behaviour regulation and engagement in learning •Building positive, trusting relationships with pupils •Working collaboratively with teaching staff and senior leadership •Promoting a safe, supportive and structured learning environment Why Work with Axcis Education?
